Hard Disk Sentinel — утилита для мониторинга и контроля состояния жестких дисков. Позволяет определить потенциальные проблемы, снижение производительности и возможные сбои. Может предупредить пользователя в случае обнаружения неполадок или превышения температуры. Ее возможности явно не покажутся лишними, особенно в случае особой ценности хранимых данных при росте объема накопителей. Программа отслеживает статус жестких дисков, включая показатели температур и параметры S.M.A.R.T (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology, технология, встроенная в большинство современных накопителей) для каждого жесткого диска.



Также измеряет скорость передачи данных в реальном режиме (этот показатель может быть использован для тестирования или определения заниженной производительности в тех или иных ситуациях).



Главная функция утилиты Hard Disk Sentinel заключается в поиске, диагностике и устранении проблем в работе жесткого диска SSD или HDD через стандартный интерфейс самодиагностики S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology). Утилита сообщает пользователю о текущем состоянии накопителя, снижении производительности и об отказах. Пользователь получает полное текстовое описание всех полученных данных вместе с рекомендациями по устранению проблем, в том числе, для сменных накопителей (внешних жестких дисков с интерфейсом USB или e-SATA). Инструменты для проверки самых разных постоянных накопителей — внутренних и внешних дисков, SSD-накопителей и элементов RAID-массива — собраны в едином продукте.



Особенности программы:

• Работает с накопителями через интерфейсы IDE, Serial ATA и SCSI, определяет статус и температуру в реальном режиме; показания отображаются мгновенно, нет необходимости проводить длительную диагностику; отображает текущую и минимальную температуру накопителей, специфические атрибуты в зависимости от производителя; продвинутым пользователям пригодятся значения часов наработки и количество ошибок чтения/записи; интерпретирует значения производительности и состояния S.M.A.R.T. в процентный показатель для более простого понимания;

• При помощи специальных иконок на дисках в системе выводятся основные значения состояния и использованного пространства, таким образом упрощается контроль;

• Возможен вывод текущих значений температуры в системную панель и последующие предупреждения, в случае превышения пороговых значений; при желании можно просмотреть детальные сведения статуса всех жестких дисков в специальном окне или маленьком окошке и полный график изменения температур с момента начала использования программы;

• Определяет модели накопителей и выводит подробную информацию о каждом из них, начиная от номера ревизии/размера буфера, и заканчивая всеми прочими его свойствами; отображаются текущий и максимально возможный режим передачи данных;

• Программа ведет подсчет всего объема данных, которые были скопированы или записаны на диск, отображает текущие скорости чтения/записи и загрузку процессора;

• Выводятся сведения по всем разделам в системе, независимо от количества накопителей; в дальнейшем эти данные используются для автоматического предупреждения и отображения статуса.
