DxO Optics Pro обладает многими прогрессивными технологиями, с помощью которых можно отрегулировать яркость, контрастность, цветовой баланс, устранить искажения и повысить четкость изображений, исправить цвета и экспозицию по краям и в углах фотографии, отрегулировать баланс белого цвета с учётом цветовой температуры и многое другое. Имеются три режима работы. В “автоматическом” режиме все параметры обработки подбираются программой, в “направляющем” режиме пользователю предлагаются готовые решения оптимизации фотографий, но с возможностью внесения изменений и, наконец, в режиме “эксперт” пользователь выполняет все операции самостоятельно.

Lens sharpening
Exclusive to DxO Labs, the DxO Lens Softness tool (based on DxO Optics Modules) automatically compensates for lens softness. Using a new technique to analytically read image content, DxO Optics Pro 7 offers improved preservation of the bokeh while avoiding the creation of artifacts in homogenous or out-of-focus zones.

Sharpness mask
Lenses tend to soften (or blur) image elements located at the edges. A new cursor lets you harmonize the sharpness of your image from the center to the periphery. This feature is available even if your equipment is not yet supported.

Colors and textures
No more flat stretches of uniform color! DxO Optics Pro 7 includes a tool that brings out the details and textures in saturated areas.

Optimized ergonomics
Easier to use, DxO Optics Pro 7 offers even more intuitive handling. Working in project mode is now optional! From now on, you can work directly from your files and directories.
Process your images in an instant! After you select a RAW or JPEG image, your default settings are automatically applied, letting you see all corrections and start processing with ease.
In Windows, it is now possible to run several batch processing sessions at once while continuing to customize other images. The Mac version (Mac OS® X Lion) offers several multi-touch functions such as zoom, full-screen view, scroll photos, and change tabs.

Increased performance
Substantially restructured, DxO Optics Pro now reaches a remarkable processing speed.
Thanks to better system resource management, the use of OpenCL technology with Windows and optimized algorithms, DxO Optics Pro 7 can process batches of photos up to 4 times faster than previous versions —while offering even more perfect image quality after processing.
N.B.: OpenCL must be activated manually under Preferences.

Both the Standard and Elite editions of version 7.2 support four additional cameras: the Canon Powershot S100, and the Panasonic GF3, Panasonic G1, Panasonic G2.
The production rate of DxO Optics Modules is accelerating, thanks to the recent optimization of its calibration processes. This means that DxO Labs is now able to provide support for new cameras more quickly, all while consolidating its modules library by adding camera models already on the market – notably compact hybrids. Since January 1st, more than 250 camera/lens combinations have been added.
This new version includes a tool that allows users to import all their projects and image processing information from DxO Optics Pro 6, and to integrate them into DxO Optics Pro 7 by merging both databases.
This DxO Optics Pro update also includes greater general stability as well as giving users the ability to crop photos in a more intuitive way.
