Libre Office выпуск 3.4 (Full) + Portable (Multi+Rus)

The new release offers several new features but is focused on contributors

The Internet, June 3rd, 2011 – The Document Foundation announces LibreOffice 3.4.0, a major release of the free office suite for personal productivity developed by a community of sponsored and volunteer developers, and supported worldwide by local communities of volunteers. LibreOffice 3.4.0 is the second major release of the suite since the announcement of The Document Foundation in September 2010 and incorporates the contributions of over 120 developers (six times as many as the first beta released on the launch date).

The majority of these contributors have started to hack LibreOffice code less than eight months ago, and this is an incredible achievement if one recalls that the OOo project has attracted a lower number of contributors in ten years. “We care for our developers, and it shows”, comments Italo Vignoli, a Steering Committee member and a spokesperson for TDF. “Our core developers have invented the mechanism of the easy hacks, which makes it simple and enjoyable for volunteer contributors to get to know LibreOffice code challenging their development skills with basic or elementary tasks”.

“Once they have completed the first easy hacks, contributors are ready to scale to more difficult tasks”, says Michael Meeks, a senior developer working for SUSE. “We spend quite a lot of time mentoring new contributors, in order to increase the number of people working on bug fixing, patches and features. This is soon going to be reflected in the quality of the software and the number of new features of future releases”.

LibreOffice 3.4.0 offers several new features for Calc, with faster performances and an improved compatibility with Excel spreadsheets, and Pivot Table – the new name of DataPilot – with support for unlimited numbers of fields and named range as data source. The user interface of Writer, Impress and Draw has been improved with many new features, and several cosmetic changes have been applied to the Linux version, with a better text rendering engine and an improved GTK+ theme integration. Code wise, several thousand lines of German comments have been translated into English, and over 5.000 lines of dead code have been removed from Writer, Calc and Impress.

The first release of the 3.4 series, LibreOffice 3.4.0, is targeted to community members and power users, and should not be implemented in a corporate environment. The Document Foundation has explained that following its time based release schedule – the best strategy for a distributed and cooperative development environment – the best releases for such deployments start from x.x.1. Because of this, LibreOffice 3.3.x is going to be maintained for several months to come, until the end of calendar year 2011, for the most conservative users.

LibreOffice 3.4.0 Final (2011-06-03)

This is the first release of the new LibreOffice 3.4 code line.
It is targetted to early adopters, and contains lots of new features.

The following notes apply:

This release is bit-for-bit identical to the 3.4 Release Candidate 2, so you don't need to download or reinstall if you have that version already.
The distribution for Windows is an international build, so you can choose the user interface language that you prefer. Help content is available via an online service, or alternatively as a separate install.
If you run Linux, the GCJ Java variant has known issues with LibreOffice, we advise to e.g. use OpenJDK instead.
There are a few issues still contained in this release, which will be addressed soon with upcoming bug fix releases:

Cannot restore deleted text with change tracking (fdo#37584)
Lost formatting with Excel XLS export (fdo#37622)
MS Office 2010 complains about damaged MS Office 2003/XP documents created by LibreOffice 3.4 (fdo#37516)
PowerPoint PPTX files created by LibreOffice can't be opened by MS Office Web Apps; PowerPoint PPT files created by LibreOffice can't be opened by MS PowerPoint Viewer 2010 but they can be opened by MS Office (fdo#32709)
MS OFFICE document recovery fails after crash (fdo#34805)
Data in reports created by Report Wizard do not display all data records (fdo#37620)
In forms, all radio buttons are selected (fdo#37590)
Writer crashes when using undo-redo on moved formulas (fdo#36631)

3.4 New Features and Fixes
This page gives you a rundown of the new features in this release of LibreOffice (version 3.4)
(This is addition to the previous distinctive features from LibreOffice (version 3.3))

Featured Selection

Redesigned Move/Copy Sheet dialog (Edit->Sheet->Move/Copy) to improve its ergonomics. (Joost Eekhoorn, Christoph Noack)
Improve HTML export with an image thumbnail gallery of the slides on the contents page. (Julien Nabet, Michael Meeks)
Fonts which are tuned for use with a specific script, e.g. Arabic, Hebrew, Malayalam, etc. now show an additional preview of some sample text in the target script. (Caolan McNamara, Red Hat, Inc.)

Color Charts: Adding and Removing color charts is now possible from: Tools->Options->Charts->Default Colors (Rob Snelders)
Named range as data source: With 3.4 it is now possible to use a named range as the data source for DataPilot.

Text Rendering: Linux text-rendering improvements. Text is now drawn via Cairo with the same subpixeling options as other Cairo-using apps. The outcome is that text in LibreOffice is rendered the same as the rest of your desktop.

Writer Features and Fixes

New gradient / drop-shadow to highlight writer pages, with configurable colors in the options

(Tools->Options->Appearance->Shadows) (Sebastien Le Ray)

Support Color and line styles for the columns and footnote separator lines. This is improving the compatibility of LibreOffice with ODF (Cedric Bosdonnat)

Add Greek Characters mode for bullets and numbering (Pantelis Koukousoulas)

The graphite smart font rendering support, has been completely rewritten to use a new faster graphite engine and is now more stable and at least 10 times faster. No changes are needed to existing fonts or documents. (Keith Stribley, Martin Hosken, SIL International)
Calc Features and Fixes

Redesigned Move/Copy Sheet dialog (Edit->Sheet->Move/Copy) to improve its ergonomics. (Joost Eekhoorn, Christoph Noack)

Support for autofilter per sheet: It is now possible to set autofilter per sheet without manually creating named database ranges prior to setting autofilter. Previously Calc only supported one autofilter per document, which caused the previous autofilter to disappear when setting another one even on a different sheet unless a named database range was created beforehand. (Markus Mohrhard)
Re-work of the drawing layer, to improve precision on re-positioning and re-sizing of drawing objects. (Caolan McNamara, Red Hat, Inc.)
Massive re-work of external reference handling: External reference handling code has been significantly re-worked in order to fix a large number of defects in formula calculations involving external references, and to boost data caching performance especially when referencing large data ranges. (Kohei Yoshida)
Named ranges in sheet-local scope: Previously, Calc only supported named ranges in global scope, that is, all named ranges were made available for the entire document regardless of the current sheet. In 3.4 Calc now supports named ranges that are local to a sheet. The named range dialog (Insert->Names->Define) has been modified to reflect this change. (Kohei Yoshida)
Multiple subtotals on a single sheet: It is now possible to define more than one subtotal range in a single sheet via Data->Subtotals. Previously, setting a second subtotal range removed the first one if they were on the same sheet. (Kohei Yoshida)
Preserve OLE links to other Excel documents when importing an Excel document. OLE links get converted to external references upon import. Previously, Calc ignored OLE links and cells containing OLE links resulted in error upon import. (Kohei Yoshida)
DataPilot (Pivot Table) Features and Fixes

Data Pilot is now named Pivot Table.

Support for unlimited number of fields: Previously DataPilot only supported up to 8 column/row/data fields and up to 10 page fields. 3.4 has lifted this restriction to allow unlimited number of fields in each field type. (Kohei Yoshida)
Named range as data source: With 3.4 it is now possible to use a named range as the data source for DataPilot. This allows, for example, addition of new rows to the data source and update of the DataPilot table to reflect the new data, without manually changing the data source range in the DataPilot dialog. (Kohei Yoshida)

Re-work of the internals: The internal implementation of DataPilot has been significantly re-worked in order to fix several regressions especially with regard to refreshing of DataPilot tables. (Kohei Yoshida)
Impress/Draw Features and Fixes

Improve HTML export with an image thumbnail gallery of the slides on the contents page (Julien Nabet, Michael Meeks)

Filters Features and Fixes

Re-write flat ODF import and export file filters from Java to C++ giving a huge speed increase. Try saving your writer document as a ".fodt" file (Peter Jentsch)
Substantially re-work legacy StarOffice (pre 2000) binary file format filters, removing all export code: the filters are now smaller and read-only, this also removes clutter from the 'Save As' dialog (Pierre-Andre Jacquod)
Core Changes

GUI
Initial support for Unity and global menu support

Internationalized font previews: In the drop-down font selector, fonts which are tuned for use with a specific script, e.g. Arabic, Hebrew, Malayalam, etc. now show an additional preview of some sample text in the target script. (Caolan McNamara, Red Hat, Inc.)

Autocorrect: Typing "http:" at the start of a sentence no longer auto-capitalizes. Such URLs are now excluded from being auto-capitalized. (Sebastien Le Ray)

Text Rendering: Linux text-rendering improvements. Text is now drawn via Cairo with the same subpixeling options as other Cairo-using apps. The outcome is that text in LibreOffice is rendered the same as the rest of your desktop. Example when desktop-wide subpixeling is enabled. (Caolan McNamara, Red Hat, Inc.)

Adapt to Linux mouse pointer themes more pleasantly (Kurosawa Takeshi)
Improve gtk+ theme integration, making LibreOffice look more native. Fix menu separators, Alt key issues, Toggle buttons, and many widget rendering details. (Lucas Baudin)

Find toolbar now behaves much more like in applications like Firefox, or Evolution - is hidden by default, shows when the user presses Ctrl+f at the bottom of the document, and is wider, so more text fits there. For the Search and Replace dialog, Ctrl+Alt+f is used. (Jan Holesovsky)

Separate borders width and style for Writer, Calc and Impress (Cedric Bosdonnat)
Added new 3D border types to increase compatibility with loads of file formats, including ODF. (Cedric Bosdonnat)
Color Charts: Adding and Removing color charts is now possible from Tools->Options->Charts->Default Colors (Rob Snelders)

Rotate through case changes (Press Shift+F3): fix for bug 32559 (Balint Dozsa)
Performance
Smoother startup on Linux: we now show our splash screen before starting to read all the application's data, giving a faster time to splash and cleaner code (Michael Meeks)
Remove inefficient, and un-necessary 'BmpColorMode' approach to accessibility theming. Reduce theme sizes and duplication by isolating high contrast icons in their own theme (Chris 'mordocai' Carpenter, Sebastian Spaeth)
Remove 150 duplicated redundant 'missing icon' icons to reduce bloat (Joachim Tremouroux, Andrew C. E. Dent)
Move seldom used text encoding conversions into a separate library, saving 1Mb or so of RAM (Jan Holesovsky, Michael Meeks)
Linux fontconfig leak: Fixed a font-related leak, saving up to 800k or so of RAM, depending on the amount of fonts installed (Caolan McNamara, Red Hat, Inc.)
Shrink Windows installer download by more than 30Mb using better compression schemes (Kalman „KAMI” Szalai)
Remove 624 localized palette files and have them localized run-time (Andras Timar)
Remove compatibility support layer for old Windows 9x non-unicode Win32 APIs (Jesus Corrius)
Other
When the document is encrypted with a password, you can now change the password while the document is open, from File->Properties->General->Change Password. The button is enabled only when the document is encrypted with a password. (Kohei Yoshida)

LO-3.4 can be installed in parallel with LO-3.3 on Linux. Note that the user configuration is shared and both versions cannot be started at the same time.
Localization

Add Beembe (beq), Bekwel(bkw), Kituba (mkw), Lari (ldi), Mbochi (mdw), Teke-Ibali (tek), Teke-Tyee (tyx), and Vili (vif) languages (Republic of Congo). Hunspell spell checker dictionaries in these languages are now useable in LibreOffice. (Andras Timar)
Add Portuguese (Angola) locale data (pt_AO). (Andras Timar)
Updated German spell check dictionaries, hyphenation and thesaurus
