Parted Magic — ãîòîâîå ðåøåíèå äëÿ ðàáîòû ñ ðàçäåëàìè æåñòêîãî äèñêà íà áàçå çàãðóçî÷íîãî LiveCD.  ñîñòàâ âõîäèò ïàêåò óòèëèò ñ ïîìîùüþ êîòîðûõ ìîæíî óïðàâëÿòü ðàçäåëàìè, êðîìå ýòîãî ïðîèçâîäèòü íàñòðîéêó óñòàíîâëåííîé ñèñòåìû, ðàáîòàòü ñ ñåòüþ èíòåðíåò, à òàêæå ïðîèçâîäèòü ëþáûå îïåðàöèè ñ äàííûìè (óäàëåíèå, âîññòàíîâëåíèå, ïåðåíîñ è ïðî÷åå).





Ýòî îäíî èç ëó÷øèõ ðåøåíèé äëÿ óïðàâëåíèÿ ðàçäåëàìè â ñðåäå Linux, îñíîâàííîå íà èñõîäíûõ êîäàõ GParted, íî èìååò íåñêîëüêî îòëè÷èé â ëó÷øóþ ñòîðîíó. Òàê â íåì ïðèñóòñòâóþò äîïîëíèòåëüíûå âîçìîæíîñòè, òàêèå êàê óïðàâëåíèå ìåòêàìè, à òàêæå áåçîïàñíîå óäàëåíèå äàííûõ (ïîäðîáíåå). Äîñòóïíû òðåòüè êîìïîíåíòû, êîòîðûå ïîçâîëÿþò ïîëíîöåííî ðàáîòàòü ñ ôàéëîâûìè ñèñòåìàìè îïåðàöèîííûõ ñèñòåì ñåìåéñòâà Windows.

Äèñòðèáóòèâ îñíîâàí íà ÿäðå Linux, à òàêæå êîìïîíåíòàõ Parted, ntfsprogs è ntfs-3g. Êðîìå òîãî, èñïîëüçóåòñÿ Busybox äëÿ óïðàâëåíèÿ ñèñòåìàìè Unix, êëèåíò-ñåðâåð Dropbear SSH, à òàêæå áðàóçåð Firefox. Ãðàôè÷åñêèé ñåðâåð xorg ïîääåðæèâàåò áîëüøèíñòâî ñîâðåìåííûõ è íå î÷åíü âèäåîêàðò, ÷òî ïîçâîëÿåò ðàáîòàòü ïðàêòè÷åñêè íà ëþáûõ ñèñòåìàõ.
